Overview:
The IMHCA Supervision Support Group will meet virtually to discuss the topic of online supervision pertaining to the roles of counselor supervisors. Participation is FREE. CE credit is offered for those attending and participating in the group. Handouts will be provided.
Supervisors benefit greatly from an environment in which they can share ideas, experiences and struggles with a group of individuals who can empathize directly and provide relevant feedback. In addition to peer support, facilitator Laurie Siegel has years of experience in the counseling field as a clinician, educator, and supervisor and is eager to help those currently in their supervision journey to provide the best possible service for their supervisees.

Laurie Siegel, MA,LCPC,CADC, MISAII, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 25 years of experience. In addition, she is a Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) and a Mental Illness and Substance Abuse Counselor (MISAII). She holds a Master’s degree in Community Counseling, a Master’s degree in School Leadership (type 75 certificate) and a School Counseling certificate (type 73 certificate). She currently works as an Assistant Professor at National Louis University, and owns her own private practice ”Life Solutions Counseling Services.” Laurie is also a trained Life Coach. Laurie’s areas of specialty include addictions, anxiety, depression, and family systems. She is extremely skilled working with the following population(s); individual, children, adolescents, family and couple counseling. She believes in tailoring treatment based on individual needs. She uses a variety of clinical formats including, talk, play and group therapy. Laurie is known for her engaging personal style and her holistic approach to therapy. She works on building a balanced lifestyle which leads to emotional wellness. She also utilizes relaxation training and cognitive behavioral treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, as well as a variety of stress related disorders. She is a Past President of the Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association (IMHCA) and Illinois Schools Counseling Association (ISCA).
