The specific content of case notes that is effective as a liability protection will be detailed. Difficult documentation issues such as documenting groups, couples, families; and integrating one’s theoretical approach will be discussed. About the Presenter: Francesca G. Giordano, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. For the past ten years, she has been an administrator and counselor educator with a specialization in mental health, consultation and ethics. She was an Illinois Professional Counselor Licensing and Disciplinary Board member, and is a board member for the Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association and Past President of the Illinois Counseling Association. She is also highly successful workshop presenter and offers workshops for the IMHCA including an exam preparation workshop for the LCPC license. She consults with mental health centers in the areas of effective treatment planning, ethical issues, anger and therapeutic change. In 1998, she received the Counselor Educator of the Year award by the American Mental Health Counselors Association, in 2002 she received the Distinguish Service award from the Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association, in 2006 she received the Counselor Educator of the Year award from the Illinois Counselor Education and Supervision Association and in 2009 she received the C.A. Michelman award for Outstanding Service to the Counseling Profession. As a staff member at The Family Institute, her clinical practice specializes in sexuality counseling, anger management, and relationship restoration in couples.
